River of Life
The ripples flowing through the calm river
Bellow out like silent musical notes
As I sit on a rock, perched and waiting
To hear a story of life’s anecdotes
The ripples move constant, equally paced
Like the months in a year that we all live
Nostalgic memoirs of a life that passed
Didactic stills that have lessons to give
Take with knowing this unbroken cycle
The change that happens when the ripples flow
Is as I am in the circle of life
Transforming being with no end to show
